About Me
Hi Lovely,
My name is Tracey Fisher and I am a Hypnobirthing Educator and Doula based in Wellington. I am primarily a Mum of four - I always say kids, but my baby is now 16 years old and I don’t think he would appreciate it. They certainly keep me busy. When I am not guiding them through life, I can be found researching everything and anything I can around birth. Second to that when I find "me" time I love to spend time at the gym, transform furniture using shabby chic paint, travelling and generally being social with my close friends.
I always envisaged being a midwife, but the universe had other ideas. Along my own journey I have volunteered with the National Childbirth Trust; a special needs nursery school in the UK, various parent groups and continue being an advocate for young people with learning difficulties.
I trained as a HypnoBirthing Practitioner in 2016 with the Maree Mongan HypnoBirthing Institute. In 2019 I studied Clinical Hypnotherapy to expand my knowlege around hypnosis, alongside studying with Mark Harris a UK midwife and founder of Birthing 4 Blokes on the Rewind Technique for traumatic births and I have completed some further study into my doula training for post-partum. In 2020 I made the decision to to create my own special programme encompassing more than simply Hypnobirthing where you will now be able to also benefit from all my additional training for birth and beyond. I am constantly up-skilling and travelling both NZ and the World to learn from the very best.
I also have had the privilege of training as a Doula in early 2017 with two very special women from within the birthing world - Debra Pascali Bonaro, Founder & President of Pain to Power Childbirth Experience, Director of the award-winning documentary Orgasmic Birth: The Best-Kept Secret and co-writer of "Orgasmic Birth: Your Guide to a Safe, Satisfying and Pleasurable Birth" all of which explore the intimate and sacred nature of birth. Alongside Debra I also trained with Robin Lim ("Mother Robin" or "Ibu Robin"). Robin is a midwife and founder of Yayasan Bumi Sehat (Healthy Mother Earth Foundation) health clinics. She was awarded the CNN Hero of the Year award in 2011 for helping thousands of low-income women in Indonesia with healthy pregnancy and birth services.
I am here to support you in any way I can. I really enjoy adding the personal touch and getting to know my families and being there for you as much as possible - well beyond our Hypnobirthing classes. If you decide you would like to also explore having me in your birth space on your birthing day for additional support I would absolutely love to be there for you and can we discuss this together at any time.
